Cazcabel is in fact named after a legendary medicine man, Don Cazcabel. He is a healer who has knowledge dating back centuries, some even say that he is a descendent of the Mayan Shaman! People travel from hundreds of miles around to see him.
‘Cazcabel’ which translates to ‘rattlesnake’ is the name given to the powerful healer, as he uses all natural ingredients for his potions, and one of his strongest concoctions actually uses the Mexican rattlesnake as a main component. As an advocate for all things living, he only uses what is already deceased to create new life.
Unlike the rest of our range of agave products the Cazcabel bottlings do not state 100% on their label, even though they are. This is for the simple fact that the bottling happens outside of Mexico and therefore, as per the CRT, they cannot print 100% agave on the label.
