NETA, a wonderful brand that works closely with several small family producers, a cooperative of twelve palequeros from the southern valleys and hills of Miahuatlan and presents a carefully curated selection of small batch agave spirits.
The name itself is a colloquial term translating to ‘the truth’ or ‘the real deal’. Indeed, this is it!
The diverse landscapes, rich agricultural and culinary traditions of the region are huge contributing factors to the intensity of these fine spirits. As with any Mezcal, no 2 batches can ever be the same because of the ever changing environmental factors, this Destilado de Agave is even more special as it is not regulated by a governing body, instead it undergoes rigorous and laborious process in accordance of the knowledge and recipes that are passed down the family tree. Some Mezcaleros adamantly follow their forefathers traditions whereas others experiment with methods to fine tune the production.
