Mexico, a country that is constantly and continuously shaped and dependant on mother natures forces, has perhaps the most versatile and diverse terrain in the entire world. The esteemed owners of La Venenosa and Don Fulano had an idea many moons ago: Esteban Morales and Sergio Mendoza decided to showcase the incredible biodiversity of their land in the form of Mezcal and so Mezcal Derrumbes was born. A name that in fact translates to ‘landslides’ beautifully incorporates Esteban and Sergio’s idea.
Working together with small batch distillers, with one per represented state they are not only showing their incredible flavours from the rich soils, climate and of course agaves but also supporting the traditions of each state and helping to grow their communities.
And so in the name of Mezcal Derrumbes and its creators I welcome you to take a sip, close your eyes and embark on a journey through Mexico: Oaxaca, San Luis Potosi, Durango, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas and Michoacan
