After the great success of our first virtual tasting and masterclass we are very excited to announce another event with Julian Gomez Fabila, brand owner of La Medida Mezcal!

This time we will be talking about the most important component in Mezcal production: The noble maguey!

Mezcal, the worlds most complex clear spirit, what impacts its flavour? Does mother nature play a part? Do different production methods alter its profile? Do the species of agaves have distinct flavours?

Put simply, the answer is yes, but in this session we will dive headfirst in to all the different ways our favourite spirit can be… manipulated?!

• Virtual and guided tour of the La Medida distillery in Miahuatlan
• Talk about the growth of agaves, each species, their terroir
• Walk through of the production processes and how they impact flavour
