Sal de Gusano or Worm salt is in fact one of the most traditional ways of serving up Mezcal in Mexico.
What was once enjoyed only by the elite, prior to the Spanish invasion, has been retained by the indigenous people of Mexico to this day.
Simply sprinkle a pinch on your freshly sliced oranges and enjoy as a snack on the side to one of our amazing spirits. I hugely recommend using this in cooking too.
Less meaty than our Sal de Chapulin, lots of umami, savoury flavours that compliment and bring out lots more character of any Mezcal you have chosen to sip.
